25+ Items FEMA Recommends You Have In Case of an Emergency

You never know when disaster will strike, so it’s always a good idea to get prepared.

There’s a saying that goes “Stay ready, so you don’t have to get ready.” What this means is you should be prepared in advance for any emergency when SHTF, instead of scrambling around like a chicken without a head when an emergency situation arises such as an economic collapse or natural disaster.

If you don’t know what emergency supplies you should keep on hand, consider this your lucky day.

The Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA) has comprised a list of over 25 emergency items/supplies you should keep in your house in an event of a disaster.

FEMA recommends you keep the following items sealed in a ziplock bag and store them in your backpack, duffel bag, or bug-out bag.

So without any further delay, here are the 25+ items FEMA Recommends You Have in Case of an Emergency.

  • Flashlight w/ extra batteries
  • Water
  • Non-Perishable Food (several days’ worth)
  • Battery Powered Radio
  • First Aid Kit

Before I close out this article, I want to leave the source for this information so you can verify for yourself (source: https://www.ready.gov/kit)

You don’t have to buy all of these items at once. You can start stocking up slowly as time goes on.

As you can see above, I left a few links for products I think you would like. Full Disclosure, I will earn a small commission if you decide to buy through my link, at no extra cost to you. See the affiliate disclaimer below for more details.

That’s all for this post. I wanted to keep it short, sweet, and straight to the point.

Get started stockpiling these items because you never know when a disaster will strike. It’s better to have them and not need them when an emergency arises than not having them and needing them.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care.
